A source tells People that Zac “is doing okay” and that “He and Jen are staying focused on preparing for the baby and supporting their kids.” Judging from Instagram Stories, the pair seemingly celebrated their oldest daughter’s birthday together yesterday—the same day news broke.

Zac and Jen’s marriage problems have been chronicled on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives , but Jen recently praised her ex while talking with People about the tough early months of her pregnancy . “I could not be there for my kids, and so Zac really had to show up. I mean, he didn’t really have a choice,” Jen said, before alluding to them having some issues. “There’s a lot that we’ve been navigating behind closed doors, but I do have to say, I wouldn’t have survived the first trimester without him.”
