On Thursday afternoon, Tiger Woods was concerned that a cold breeze might derail his bid to make the cut at this US Open. Air conditioning can make his creaking body tight after a long 18 holes. In the end, it was the suffocating heat of North Carolina that did for the 48-year-old. Unfortunately, they don't hand out special exemptions for the weekend of a major. And so Woods' 23rd US Open will be a two-day affair.
