Pundits have criticised VAR after Denmark suffered huge frustration in their Euro 2024 defeat to Denmark. Fans also claimed that Denmark had 'been robbed', with defender Joachim Andersen suffering a double VAR nightmare. Andersen thought he had put Denmark in front but his goal was ruled out for offside, with referee Michael Oliver receiving much criticism. Shortly afterwards, there was further agony for Andersen as he conceded a penalty for an alleged handball.
