Referee Michael Oliver has been criticised by fans for disallowing Nico Schlotterbeck's goal for Germany against Denmark at Euro 2024. Schlotterbeck thought he had given Germany the lead with a header in the early stages of the last-16 clash. However, the goal was subsequently ruled out for a foul by Joshua Kimmich. Fans were quick to bemoan decisions made by English officials again, especially after Anthony Taylor and Stuart Attwell were criticised for taking too long to disallow Xavi Simons' goal for the Netherlands against France.
