Away from the cameras and their crime-solving roles, several Boston Blue stars have found love in real life.
The CBS procedural returned for a second season on October 9, with its original regular cast members reprising their respective roles. But beyond their on-screen portrayals, several stars have shared their real-life love stories while others have kept their relationships private.
Here’s a closer look at the real-life relationships of the Boston Blue cast.
Donnie Wahlberg

Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Danny in the series, married Jenny McCarthy in August 2014, a year after they began dating.
In 2024, the former Playboy model revealed she and Wahlberg had renewed their wedding vows 10 times since tying the knot.
“Our pastor reminisces about the year and gives us a thing to think about as the year goes on,” McCarthy shared during an appearance on the “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa” podcast. “There is something nice about it.”
The couple has a blended family of three children. Wahlberg shares sons Xavier and Elijah with his ex-wife, Kimberly Fey, while McCarthy welcomed her son, Evan, with her former husband, John Asher.
Sonequa Martin-Green

Beyond playing Boston Police Detective Lena Silver, Sonequa Martin-Green is a devoted wife to her husband, Kenric Green, and dedicated mom to their two children, Kenric Justin II and Saraiyah.
Sonequa and Kenric struck up a romance while working on a theater production in 2009 and exchanged vows during a December 2010 ceremony.
Reflecting on how they keep their marriage strong, the actress told People in 2025 that they “recommit” themselves daily.
“You are going to be different versions of yourself as you grow. Sometimes we put words to it and we say, ‘Okay, with who we are today, I commit my life to you,” she shared.

In an April 2024 interview with People, the Ghostbusters revealed he and Linda had been together for nine years before deciding to marry. They later welcomed two sons, Andrew and Ross.
Ernie is also a father to his two older sons, Ernest Jr. and Rocky, with his first wife, Jeannie Moore.

Marcus Scribner returned to Boston Blue Season 2 as Jonah Silver.
Despite the spotlight, he largely kept his romantic life private that he did not reveal his then-fiancée’s identity when he confirmed his engagement in March. A few months later, his sitcom dad Anthony Anderson revealed Marcus was off the market.
“Marcus Scribner just got married two weeks ago,” Anthony said. “Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get to the wedding, but a few of our castmates were, so I’m excited for him. But we definitely keep in contact with one another.”
His bride was later identified as his childhood sweetheart, Gracie Globerman, whom he first met in the sixth grade at Emerson Middle School in Los Angeles, Calif.
Maggie Lawson

Maggie Lawson, who plays Sarah Silver on Boston Blue, has had several public relationships over the years.
She dated actor Eric Christian Olsen from 2003 to 2005 before moving on to a relationship with her Psych costar James Roday Rodriguez. Following their 2014 split, she began dating her Back in the Game costar Ben Koldyke, whom she married in August 2015.
However, their marriage came to an end when she filed for divorce in 2017.
As of press time, Maggie has not publicly disclosed whether she is currently dating anyone.
