Week 7 NFL scores, live updates: 49ers suffer first loss of season after Brock Purdy throws 2 INTs; Giants upset Texans in OT

Yahoo Sports Staff Updated Sun, October 25, 2026 at 9:15 PM UTC About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement We've got another loaded NFL Sunday slate on deck in Week 7, following up on the morning's Pittsburgh Steelers-New Orleans Saints showdown in Paris with seven games in the early window and three in the afternoon.

The early window offered plenty of excitement, including a couple of upsets headlined by the Atlanta Falcons, who delivered the San Francisco 49ers their first loss of the season. Brock Purdy struggled to get in rhythm without his top receiver Mike Evans and a number of other injuries.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings remained perfect, improving to 6-0 with a 16-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. That leaves the Kansas City Chiefs as the other remaining undefeated team as Patrick Mahomes & Co. return from the bye to face the Seattle Seahawks on "Sunday Night Football."

Notably, we've got four teams on bye in Week 7: the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Commanders.

Davis Allen is the beneficiary with all of the wide receiver injuries for the Rams. The tight end brought in his second touchdown of the game as Matthew Stafford found him for the five-yard score.

After the Detroit field goal, Green Bay's offense couldn't get a fresh set of downs.

Jordan Love was sacked on first down by Aidan Hutchinson for a loss of 10 yards. Love checked it down to MarShawn Lloyd for a six-yard gain, but couldn't complete a pass to Christian Watson on third down.

The Lions still lead 10-7 with 11 minutes to go in the first half.

The turn of the quarter also saw the momentum of the offense stall out. Detroit got all the way down to the Green Bay 20-yard line. Lions quarterback Jared Goff dumped a pass down to Jahmyr Gibbs who lost two yards.

On fourth and seven, head coach Dan Campbell opted to kick and Jake Bates made a 40-yard field goal.

The Lions lead 10-7 with 12:36 left in the first half.

After the Green Bay touchdown, Detroit came out aggressive. Jared Goff aired the ball out and found his top wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown for a gain of 40.

Jahmyr Gibbs then had a 12-yard carry birnging up the end of the first quarter.

It looked like Jordan Love was going to scramble, but he pulled up right at the line of scrimmage after running right and fired a pass to the end zone.

Tight end Tucker Kraft ended up wide open after juking a defender and easily caught the 14-yard touchdown.

After the extra point, the game is tied at 7 with 58 seconds to go in the first quarter.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur decided to roll the dice early. The offense faced fourth-and-two at the Detroit 49ers.

Quarterback Jordan Love slung a quick pass to tight end Tucker Kraft, who avoided tacklers and scampered for a 22-yard gain.

Los Angeles gets on the board first, and another tight end gets to celebrate National Tight Ends Day in the NFL on Sunday.

Davis Allen came down with the 3-yard score and Brandon McManus knocked through the extra point for the Rams' 7-0 lead.

The Broncos increased their lead to 6-0 over the Cardinals toward the end of the first quarter.

Denver kicker Wil Lutz connected on a 43-yard field goal, his second make of the game.

Jared Goff is airing the ball out for the Lions. He found Amon-Ra St. Brown for a 28-yard gain and immediately found Jameson Williams for a 24-yard pickup.

The Detroit quarterback then threw a pass left to Williams, and the speedy wide receiver stayed inbounds and avoided defenders on his way to the 16-yard score.

The Lions lead 7-0 after the extra point.

Sunday's game between the Rams and the Raiders remains tied. Las Vegas kicker Matt Gay lined up for a 51-yard field goal attempt, but he pushed it wide left.

Still 0-0 with only five minutes gone in the first quarter.

Matthew Golden and Christian Watson have been one of the best receiving duos in the league this year, and Golden has so far carried that momentum into Week 7.

He had two catches for 27 yards on the opening drive, with teammate Savion Williams nabbing a 27-yard catch of his own. The drive stalled out in the red zone, however, and the Packers decide to go for the points with rookie kicker Trey Smack from 26 yards — which he missed, wide right.

Josh Jacobs wasn't able to get much done with his first reps of the season returning from the commissioner's exempt list, totaling just four yards on three rush attempts.

The Broncos are first on the board with a 48-yard field goal from Wil Lutz to take a 3-0 lead.

Denver went as far as the Cardinals' 20-yard line but a 10-yard offensive pass interference call set them back 10 yards, and the team takes the points.

On the very next play after Skattebo's big run, Devin Singletary bobbed and weaved his way through the defense, his former team.

Singletary took it to the house for a 30-yard score.

Giants running back Cam Skattebo broke through the offensive line and took off down the field.

Skattebo scampered for 42 yards down to the Houston 30-yard line. He slid as he went down and it looked like he may have been shaken up.

Houston didn't gain a yard with its first possession in overtime.

The Texans had a 0-yard run, and then CJ Stroud had two incompletions before Houston punted.

The Texans have gotten the ball first in OT. Reminder: both teams get a chance at possession, so even an opening-drive TD doesn't end the game unless it happens to take 10 minutes.

New York only had a minute left in regulation, but JJ McCarthy was unable to get the offense down the field.

The Giants and Texans will be heading to overtime with the score tied at 21.

The 49ers are no longer undefeated. The Falcons forced a fumble from George Kittle, who was fighting for extra yards. Atlanta recovered it and wins 29-20.

The only remaining undefeated teams are Minnesota (who won on Sunday) and the Kansas City Chiefs (who play Sunday night)

The Browns are 5-2 after Andre Szymt nailed a game-winning field goal for the second time in as many weeks.

CJ Stroud scrambled just long enough to find a passing lane to get a ball to Xavier Hutchinson. The wide receiver held on for the 3-yard touchdown.

Houston opted to kick the PAT and this game is tied with 52 seconds left.
