Chris Dobey booked his place in a first World Championship semi-final by beating Gerwyn Price after bouncing back from missing five match darts. Dobey had led 4-2 at Alexandra Palace in the first quarter-final of the tournament. He faltered despite having five match darts, with Price taking advantage by claiming the set to reduce the deficit to 4-3. Dobey eventually held off a comeback from Price by producing a double double finish to clinch the next set and seal a 5-3 victory.
