Fox issues groveling apology after embarrassing on-air Mallory Swanson Olympics graphic mix-up
Fox Sports had to issue an embarrassing apology after a glaring on-air mistake identified Team USA soccer star Mallory Swanson, using a picture as her trident teammate Sophia Smith. During an all-Chicago baseball matchup between the White Sox and Cubs, Fox aired a graphic of married couple Dansby and Mallory Swanson both accomplishing major on-field accolades. Mallory was part of the US Soccer gold medal winning team and scored the decisive goal to defeat Brazil in Paris.
